| Excerpts from the book ... Introduction No, I am not a prophet, false or otherwise. Nor do I think I am a prophet. I do not have “visions” nor do I hear strange voices in my head. Can I predict the future? Sort of. What I did in “Glimmers Of Hope” is look at trends that are happening now and then projected the outcome of those trends based on those trends continuing. Obviously, things change, trends change and that makes any prediction subject to a wide margin of error.
Predicting the future is not reliable science; there are too many variables. The predictions of the future in this book are based on my lifetime of experience, forecasting skills and knowledge. Like life, the future is not set in stone. Anything can happen.

Past, present, future
The past
I was fortunate to have grown up in America when individual freedom reigned, where individuality and independence was a given, where government interference was not wanted and not tolerated, where education, hard work and merit determined your future. Yes, there were problems. Yes, there was injustice. America was never a perfect place; it was always an experiment. An experiment in freedom … freedom of, and for, the individual.
The present
Sadly, those days appear to be gone. Replaced by an agenda, an agenda of big government and far-left extremist control over every aspect of American life. YOUR life. It is this agenda, this political plot, if unchecked, that may destroy America by the year 2020.
Today, in 2009, among other things, America is being taken over by the far-left and most Americans are too busy - or too tired - to see it happening or to do anything about it. Too busy, too tired or too confused to protect themselves against those that would rob them of their money, their individual freedom and their future. Rob them of the American way of life. Rob them of the promise of the American Dream and the opportunity to earn it and live it. If not stopped, this far-left liberal Agenda will strip away everything that made the U.S.A. into the great promise of the world; America - the land of the free and the home of the brave.
The future
I only hope other Americans, enough Americans, wake up in time, wake up and see the approaching future, the possible end of America, and stop the agenda. I only hope it’s not too late.
That’s why this book was written.
What is the “Agenda”?The “Agenda” is a plan that includes extremely radical changes that certain powerful left-wing liberal politicians and other highly influential far-left liberal individuals and institutions in America want to impose on the American people. These changes determine what you can and can’t do in your business life, your political life and your personal life. These radical changes involve controlling your behavior, income, education, standard of living, medical care, personal spending, environmental usage and virtually ALL aspects of your life.
The agenda is: to take over America. To take over America and take away your individual rights and freedoms and replace them with a government imposed reward-and-punishment system, government mandates and government control over YOUR life, YOUR liberty and YOUR pursuit of happiness. And, in exchange for giving up your individual rights, and the freedom to choose how you live, the government is supposed to provide you with “everything” you need. “Everything” being defined, not by you, but by the government.
This agenda is an Americanized version of socialism.
Economic socialism is defined as the government owning and controlling a country’s means of production, i.e. production of goods and services. Socially, socialism is government control over the behavior of its citizens. Political socialism is the political system whereby the politicians make the rules of society, and rewards and punishments are arbitrarily and dictatorially determined by how well you follow these rules. Socialism stifles or takes away individual merit, individual choices and independence, and replaces them with forced uniformity, forced sameness and forced obedience.
Conspiracy or stupidity?
The Agenda, is it conspiracy or stupidity? I am not a big believer in conspiracy theories. Nor am I paranoid. I do not subscribe to the idea that a group of rich and powerful people (left-wing or right-wing) are secretly planning to illegally take over the world. I do believe that people can be astonishingly ignorant or amazingly stupid or wildly misguided or seriously short sighted (no matter how much education they have). I do believe that is the case with those who support the Agenda, an agenda that will destroy the economic, political and social fabric of America. I’m also of the opinion that extreme liberals have good intentions and truly want a better America, a nicer America, a fairer America, a more equal America, a cleaner America. An ideal America. Unfortunately, though well intended, every item on the far-left Agenda is foolish, childish, not based in reality and, worst of all, will not work. Instead of making America better, the Agenda, if allowed to continue, will soon destroy America.

Under normal circumstances, if implemented, the extreme liberal Agenda could be allowed to play out … and fail. However, this time, if the Agenda is allowed to go forward, it may well be irreversible and may well cause the total collapse of America by the year 2020.
This may well be the most dangerous time in America’s history. Because, this time, the danger comes from within. This time the danger comes from the government itself. Who is the government? WE are. We, the people, are the government.
And, we the people, are allowing our country to be taken over, and destroyed, by a far-left liberal minority. Whose fault is that? We have no one to blame but ourselves.
Hippo-crits Why do far-left liberals support the Agenda? Because, politically, they are extremely liberal and they think American socialism is a good idea. Many of them have so much money they will not be affected by the Agenda raising taxes and they think they will be exempted from the iron-fisted restrictive rules, regulations and laws made by a government run by socialistic principles. These are powerful and influential people who think it’s a good idea that YOU give up YOUR money, YOUR rights, and YOUR freedom. While they plan on keeping theirs. Hippo-crits Isn’t it curious that super-rich far-left liberals, if they really believed that liberalism and true equality are such good ideas, don’t ever give away all their money … keep 50K-100K a year to live on … and live like regular folks? Or, if they are such big fans of uncontrolled illegal immigration, why don’t rich liberals invite a couple of dozen poor illegal immigrants to come and live with them in their huge roomy multi-million dollar mansions? In other words, if American socialism is such a good idea why don’t limousine liberals put their big fat lifestyle where their big fat mouth is? Could it be that they are hypocritical? Could it be that they are “hippo-crits”? “Hippo-crit”: a critter who says one thing and does the opposite. 
Hippo-crit
Do these hippo-crits, these proponents and supporters of far-left liberal American Socialism think they are smarter than you? Do they think they know better than you do how YOU should live your life? Why else would they want to force you to live the way THEY want you to live? While they live any damn way they please. Some rich left-wing liberals, like a certain former U.S. Vice-President, Nobel prize and Oscar winner, urge YOU to reduce your energy consumption … while THEY travel the world in a fancy private jet. Case in point: the Cessna Citation Excell is a popular midsize corporate jet. With four passengers on board, the Citation Excel has a maximum range around 1,850 miles, and filling the tank for a long haul would require about 800 gallons of fuel. If you drive your car an average of 15,000 miles a year and get an average of 25 miles per gallon you would use about 600 gallons of fuel per year. Thus, rich extreme environmentalist hippo-crits want you to reduce YOUR fuel consumption while they fly around in private jets that use more fuel in 1 flight than you use in an entire year! Hippo-crits.
Can The Agenda Be Stopped? There are glimmers of hope. Politically, the Agenda is not supported by all Democrats, mainly just far-left liberal Democrats. Moderate liberals do not support the extremist views of the loony left. As more and more moderately liberal individuals and institutions see that the far-left Agenda will destroy America with its over-spending, over-taxing and over-regulating and will destroy all the good things that America stands for, as moderate liberals see that individual choice and individual freedom will be stripped from EVERYONE, including them, many liberals are questioning or protesting the wisdom of implementing the far-left Agenda. The politically conservative Republicans are horrified at the thought of a socialist America but may be too disorganized and too weak to fight it or stop it. Perhaps the moderates from both the Democrat and Republican parties, and the independents, will form a political coalition and be able to stop, or at least slow, the Agenda and save America. That remains to be seen. In the meantime, it may still be possible to stop the Agenda from destroying America. To stop the Agenda, to stop the far-left liberal Democratic agenda from destroying America, by turning America into a socialist nation, run by big government and countless bureaucrats who are unresponsive to individual needs, to stop the Agenda … we, the people, can do 3 things.
